Gopichand Gets Injured During Filming, Director Sriwass Shares Update
Actor Gopichand injured himself on the sets of his new movie in Mysore while filming an action sequence. The actor was last seen in the Telugu sports drama Seetimaarr, in which he played the coach of a female Kabaddi team.
Actor Gopichand suffered a minor injury while filming an action sequence for his yet untitled upcoming Telugu movie. According to director Sriwass’ statement, Gopichand’s leg slipped while filming a scene. He also asked his fans and friends not to worry about Gopichand as he is fine. The statement read, “While filming in Mysore, unfortunately our hero @YoursGopichand just fell due to a slipped leg. By the grace of God, nothing happened to him and he is doing great. I ask the fans and friends not to worry about this incident (sic).”
The project was announced in July 2021. Slated to be a family artist, the film is produced by TG Viswa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. The shooting of the film is progressing rapidly in Mysore.
This is the third time that Gopichand and Sriwass have collaborated on a project. The as yet untitled film also stars Khushbhu Sundar in a key role. The creators have yet to reveal the rest of the cast and crew. Gopichand was last seen in the Telugu sports drama Seetimaarr, in which he played the coach of a female Kabaddi team. He made his acting debut in a lead role with the Telugu film Tholi Valapu. He then played negative roles in films such as Jayam, Nijam and Varsham.
In 2004, Gopichand returned to play a lead role in Yagnam. Some of his other popular films include Andhrudu, Souryam, Lakshyam, Golimaar and Saahasam.
