“There is no one with whom I would prefer to associate! Kareena Kapoor wrote in her thank you note for Ekta Kapoor. Kareena recently revealed that she has ventured into production and that her first project will also be jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Hansal Mehta. On Wednesday, Ekta Kapoor gave Kareena a long cry, welcoming her aboard the production team. Responding to Ekta, Kareena wrote, “May this film cross paths with our parents’ greatest success (Farz) … with their blessings … always. Let’s do this! ”1967 film Farz, a spy thriller, starred Jeetendra, Ekta Kapoor’s father, and Babita, Kareena Kapoor’s mother. Farz, which started slowly at the box office, eventually turned out to be a huge hit.
Take a look at Kareena Kapoor’s post here:
Ekta Kapoor, who founded production company Balaji Telefilms, wrote in her post ow that she has broken the boundaries of gender stereotypes with her business. “28 years ago, when my mom and I started our production house, everyone thought my dad was ‘the producer’ and that we were working for him. We tried to tell people that even though he is a huge support system for us, WE are actually the producers here! The notion of “producer” back then was only strongly associated with one man. Decades later people finally accepted that a “producer” does not necessarily mean “man”! It has been a difficult journey, but encouraging and happy! I am so happy that today we can empower each other like this! “
Sending her best wishes to Kareena, Ekta added, “Here’s to wishing Kareena Kapoor the best in her journey as a producer … adding another feather to her already illustrious career! May we have her more in our tribe!”
Kareena Kapoor will also star in her first production venture. The film will be set in the UK and is based on real events. Further details about the film have yet to be revealed.
