The Kashmir Files did exceptionally well at the box office and how! In the space of just 16 days, director Vivek Agnihotri crossed Rs 200 crore at the box office. That says a lot about the dazzling success of Anupam Kher’s star. Now, in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, actor Satish Kaushik, who watched The Kashmir Files, has revealed that he predicted the film’s success right after watching it.

“THE KASHMIR FILES EMULATED ME, I KNEW IT WOULD BE A GREAT SUCCESS”

After watching The Kashmir Files in a movie theater, Satish Kaushik felt good because he thought a new genre had been created. He told IndiaToday.in that director Vivek Agnihotri also created a new genre with his latest film, The Tashkent Files.

“Especially, in The Kashmir Files, the kind of trouble and pain that was shown really moved me. And the next morning, I told Vivek that it was going to be a big hit. I told Anupam Kher that this was going to be one of your best performances. I called them early in the morning. All night I thought about the film, the genre of the film and the making of the film, the problem addressed and its veracity . It’s going to be a great movie. You can’t judge how far it will go. And it did,” the veteran actor said.

“MY INSTINCT ON THE FILM HAS REVEALED”

The lead actor further added that his instincts about The Kashmir Files turned out to be right. “I kept thinking about the movie. And when you bring home a movie, it has to be a big hit and it has to make a big difference to cinema, society and the world,” Satish Kaushik concluded.

The Kashmir Files hit theaters on March 11, 2022.
