Sinister neighbors terrorize in trailer for new Blumhouse horror film a house on the Bayou – geektyrant
When you move to a new neighborhood, getting to know your new neighbors can be a great experience, or it can be completely nightmarish. I’ve had my fair share of both. I have certainly had mad and scared neighbors in the past. Fortunately, none of them tried to kill me… on purpose.
Blumhouse has released a trailer for a new horror film they’ve produced titled A house on the Bayou and it focuses on sinister neighbors who come to terrorize a family who recently moved into a remote mansion in rural Louisiana. Here is the synopsis of the film:
In an effort to renew and mend their relationship, Jessica and John Chambers (Angela Sarafyan, Paul Schneider) are looking for an idyllic getaway with their daughter Anna (Lia McHugh) in a remote mansion in rural Louisiana. When oddly friendly neighbors show up for dinner uninvited, the weekend takes a grim turn as the fragile family bond is put to the test and dark secrets are revealed.
As you will see in the trailer, things get pretty dark and this poor family finds itself in a hell of a mess. If there is anything to learn from this story, it’s not to tell strangers that you live in a mansion in the middle of nowhere, and when they come to say hello, don’t invite them!
A house on the Bayou was led by Alex McAulay (Don’t say anything to a soul) and it will be released on Epix and PVOD on November 19, 2021. Expect seven more original Blumhouse horror films to follow.
